Eye Care

At the Melbourne Optical Centre, we care for you and your family's ocular health. That's why we put aside 45 minutes for your eye examination to ensure we discuss all your needs and concerns.


During your examination we do the following:

  • Visual Acuity Test
  • Refraction Assessment
  • Color Vision Test
  • Slit-lamp examination
  • Ophthalmoscopy
  • Screening for Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Cataracts, and Diabetic Retinopathy

Eye Testing Availability

Wed  10:00 am - 5:00 pm (Medicare Bulk Billing Available)

Fri     10:00 am - 6:00 pm (Medicare Bulk Billing Available)

Sat    10:00 am - 2:00 pm 


What To Bring - If Applicable

  • Medicare Card
  • Private Health Insurance Card ( Extras Cover )
  • Current Pair of Glasses
  • Do NOT wear contact lenses on the day


Fees

  • Medicare Bulk Billing available to eligible card holders
  • Private billing, including OSHC, is from $80
